He thinks independently and knows what works best for his business and customers. So, 4½ years after his store left the co-op, Jim decided it was time to return home to True Value. "We like being ourselves," says Jim. We were tired of being molded into a cookie-cutter store. Our customers started to lump us in with other local stores because we represented the same brand." Jim and his wife Kim are thrilled their store is now with True Value. "The transition was easy, things went faster than we anticipated. Best of all, sales have increased since we returned.
